Pocket Option Login Guide

Sign in safely on web, mobile and desktop. This guide covers credentials, two-factor authentication, password recovery and how to spot phishing.

Login overview

Logging into Pocket Option is a 30-second process once your account is verified. You can sign in through the web platform at the official URL, through the desktop application for Windows and macOS, or through the mobile apps for Android and iOS. Whichever route you choose, the credentials are identical — there is one account and it follows you across every device. In this guide we explain how to sign in safely on each, how to enable two-factor authentication, how to recover a forgotten password, and how to spot the phishing attempts that target traders every day.

Before we go further, please remember that no legitimate Pocket Option employee will ever ask for your password or your one-time code. If anyone asks, they are trying to steal your account. Hang up, close the chat, and report the message.

Sign in via the web platform

  1. Open your browser and type the Pocket Option URL manually. Do not click links from emails or social media — those are the most common phishing vectors.
  2. Click Login in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter the email address you registered with and your password.
  4. If you have enabled two-factor authentication, enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
  5. You will land on the trading dashboard. Confirm at the top-right that the account currency, name and balance match what you expect.

If anything looks unfamiliar — a different currency, an unknown trade in history, a changed email — log out immediately, change your password, and contact support.

Sign in via the mobile app

The Android and iOS apps support the same credentials. On first launch you will be asked to enable biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint). We recommend enabling it because it removes the need to type your password on a screen that may be captured by malware. After biometric enrolment you simply tap the app icon, look at the camera or touch the sensor, and you are in.

If you change phones, the new device will require the full email + password + 2FA flow on first login. Keep your recovery codes printed and stored offline.

Sign in via the desktop app

The desktop client is a wrapper around the web platform with a few extra conveniences: persistent chart layouts, native notifications and a slightly faster order panel. The login screen is identical. Download the installer only from the official site — desktop trojans disguised as broker installers are unfortunately common.

Enable two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a six-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. Even if a malicious actor obtains your password, they cannot log in without your phone. To enable it: open Profile → Security → Two-factor authentication, scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy, type the current code to confirm, and print the recovery codes. Store them somewhere physical — not in a cloud document.

Forgot password

  1. Click the Forgot password link below the login form.
  2. Enter the email you registered with.
  3. Open the recovery email — check spam if it does not arrive within five minutes.
  4. Click the reset link, choose a new password of at least 12 characters mixing letters, numbers and a symbol.
  5. Log in again and re-enable 2FA if it was reset.

Avoiding phishing attacks

Most stolen accounts are not the result of a platform breach — they are the result of a user clicking a fake email that mirrors the genuine one almost perfectly. The clues are subtle: a domain that swaps an O for a 0, a request to confirm your password because of unusual activity, a download link to an updated app. Apply three permanent rules: never click login links in emails, always type the URL yourself; never download an app from anywhere but the official site or the official app store; never enter a 2FA code on a page you reached from an email.

Login troubleshooting

  • Invalid credentials. Check caps lock and trailing spaces. Try the password reset flow.
  • 2FA code rejected. Your device clock is probably out of sync. In Authenticator settings choose Time sync.
  • Account locked. Multiple failed attempts trigger a temporary lock. Wait 15 minutes and try again from the same IP.
  • Region blocked. Some jurisdictions are not accepted. Do not attempt to bypass with a VPN — accounts opened that way are routinely closed and balances forfeited.

Final security checklist

  • Unique 12+ character password stored in a password manager.
  • 2FA enabled and recovery codes printed.
  • Withdrawal email confirmation enabled.
  • Biometric login enabled on mobile.
  • Only the official URL bookmarked.
  • Antivirus running on the device used for trading.

Frequently asked questions

Can I log in from multiple devices at once?

Yes, your account follows you across web, mobile and desktop simultaneously. Trades placed on one device appear instantly on the others.

Why is my login session expiring quickly?

For security, idle sessions expire after about 30 minutes. Enable biometric login on mobile to make re-authentication painless.

Is there a single-sign-on with Google or Facebook?

Yes, you can register and log in with Google, Facebook or Apple. We still recommend setting a password and 2FA in case the social account is ever compromised.

What if I lose access to my 2FA app?

Use one of the recovery codes you printed when enabling 2FA. If you did not save them, contact support with a government ID — the recovery process takes 3–5 business days.

Does Pocket Option support hardware security keys?

Not at the time of writing. Authenticator apps and recovery codes are the strongest available option.
